Avoiding Hyper-Inflammation

There has been a lot of talk of inflammation lately. According to Dr. Aaron Wiegand, a Phoenix area chiropractor, controlling inflammation is like adjusting the water temperature in your shower.  There are cold water foods and hot water foods used to reduce inflammation and it is all about the right combination.  Having a history of gout flare-ups, resulting in painful inflammation of joints in the foot, knee and/or hand, I am extremely interested in this topic.  Lets start off by identifying foods to incorporate into your daily routine.

Foods that are known to help control inflammation: Turmeric, Papaya, Wild Caught Salmon, Blueberries, Cherries, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Healthy Fats (avocados, nuts), Green Tea and Apple Cider Vinegar to name a few.  More information at Dr. Weil’s Anti-Inflammatory Food Pyramid, a pyramid scheme worth investing in.
